What are some gift ideas for my boss’s new baby daughter?
My boss is a scientist, and I thought about getting a nerdy bib for his daughter but the shipping takes way too long. I think it is appropriate to spend <$ 25 on this gift. She is the first child, so they probably have already been given everything under the sun. Any ideas? I have a good, casual relationship with my boss (i.e. we joke around and stuff), and I've met his wife several times. Both have a great sense of humor.

How about a rattle shaped like a microscope or something. Check out all of the baby shops in your area. I bet you can find something that fits the bill. If all else fails a nice blanket is a good gift. You can never have too many blankets for the crib, car seat etc.

Av nice blanket is simple and useful. I received several receiving blankets and around 7 or 8 regular blankets. At first I was a bit disappointed but now as my son is 4 months I use them ALL the time.
My favorite one is a thick plush blanket… I use it myself when I am up rocking baby in the night :)
See if you can possible order a onesie or something that’s personalized saying daddy’s the BOSS! LOL, or you can always get diapers and wipes(size1or2) they will always need them for awhile. Then maybe a bond with it.
As you said, they probably got her just about everything she needs and they think she needs. So, I would suggest getting them (him and his wife) something. How about a nice baby album for their new daughter. I’m sure they have a ton of pictures of the newborn and what better way to encourage them to show her off by than a cute albums to store their favorite photos of her. There are some really nice albums at StorePhotos.com (http://www.storephotos.com) for babies. I’ve picked up a few albums from there as gifts for baby showers, you may find something in their selection that you could get as a gift for your boss. Hope that helps!
