The Original Nurser Gift Set provides everything you need in one kit.Editorial Review
This nurser starter set is appropriate for the mother who hasn’t yet figured out exactly what she and baby want. The five included bottles (two 4-ounce and three 8-ounce) are all of the disposable-liner type–an open-ended plastic sleeve with ounce markings up the side. But the pack includes both standard plastic-bag style disposable liners (in both sizes) and five each of the Playtex Drops-Ins, which are semirigid and have their own lip at the top for convenience. There are also four different kinds of nipple: infant, round, older baby, and orthodontic. One of the 8-ounce sleeves has an “Eazy-Feed” system–essentially, an inner ring that can be pushed up from the outside with one thumb–that acts as a built-in burper. –Richard Farr

When I received these bottles the box was all mashed up. Since this was a gift i was not pleased but the new mom to be didnt seem to care so thats good. Or maybe she just did not want to say anything bad. Great price just not sure you want to give a mashed box for a gift. I dont know if the bottles were damaged inside bc i didnt open it. Well hope that helps you make a decision.

I had received a couple of these bottles at my baby shower and decided to give them a try. I had been using the J&J Healthflow and Evenflo systems, but I thought that with the Playtex system being easier to clean and more convienent (which is why I gave it 2 stars), why not see if baby likes it. My 1 month old son hated it!!! He has an impossible time figuring out how to grasp onto the nipple and gets so frustrated that he loses interest in eating. when he did finally get how to grasp on to it, it took him 20+ minutes to eat 4oz, which believe me is forever!! Plus they say that with the collapsable insert there’s little gas, well from the burps my son was ripping I beg to differ. He had just as many burps with the Playtex as he had with the other systems. Rather than have it take up space in my cupboards, I gave it to a friend of mine who is expecting and happily went back to the Johnson & Johnson and the Evenflo.

I bought the set thinking that it was similar to the newer edition of the Nurser, which I already had but needed more bottles for convenience. I was very disappointed. The lids leaked and the nipple rings leaked and the bottle plastic seemed cheap. I used it for about a week and then got rid of it.

My sister used these bottles for both her boys. Due to her experience I have decided I do not like them and will not use them when my baby is born. These bottles WILL make it very difficult to take your child from bottle to sippy cup. My nephew’s both learned to drink out of their bottles, not by tipping them up, like one would with a normal bottle, but by simply sucking up the fluid as you would through a straw (in order for them to get to the formula they first had to suck up the air that was in the bottle). Therefore, when it came time to change them to sippy cups, they had no concept of tipping up the cup to get their drink. Both her boys were about one before they finally understood how to drink out of the sippy cup. I would highly sugest using the Doctor Brown, AirVent, or any of those other type bottles made for preventing air from getting into your baby’s tummy if that is your worry. These bottles will only cause trouble in the end, and make the proccess of putting your baby on a sippy cup much more diffecult when that time comes.

I have three children. For the first one, I bought all those curved Healthflow bottles to keep the air out of my daughter’s system. Big Pain!!. They were hard to clean. I used the Playtex bottles for my two younger children. They are much easier to clean. I could even put the rings and caps in my dishwasher. I would recommend these bottles to any mother. There are a variety of nipple shapes available to experiment with. My daughter liked the natural brown ones and my son liked the rounded top in the brown and silicone varieties.
