Great mix of Poe and Dante’s “Inferno” – ‘a demon holds my place on Earth ’til I die’. In “Inferno”, the worst sinners’ souls are taken straight to hell and a demon takes their place on Earth for the rest of their mortal life. Great image of torment.
To me, this is one of the best Neko Case videos ever: a voice that I canNOT describe, GORGEOUS Neko, and I was reeeeally happy to see this video the way it was meant to be seen on “The Gift” DVD extras.
this movie turned me on to Neko. now i own 8 of her CDs plus 2 concerts downloaded from the npr website. nary a weak tune in the lot!

Good luck finding it, and further more even if one was found, I refuse to pay $15 for a CD that has only one song on it that I want.

Metal is an odd duck. There’s a huge amount of extremely talented musicians in metal, and a lot of them never manage to do anything remotely interesting with that talent.
There’s some great metal out there.
There’s also a lot of people who just play fast and sound bad. And then there’s the Yngwie Malmsteens of the world – great guitarists who never learned how to end a song.

The last “At night…” also sounds like a bird, like a loon or even just someone sobbing/ laughing madly.
Barn owl? It has a territorial sound that is very disturbing.
Is it just me, or is the “all night, all I hear, all i hear, is your heart. How Come? How Come?” segment sung to the melody of some night bird? It sounds so familiar it’s frustrating that I cannot place it.
