@draw, Maybe so, since the Lord has given the churches over to satan on May 21, 1988, the start of the 8,400 day Great Tribulation. According to the Bible, anyone still in ANY church in our day, are worshipping satan. Satan comes as an “angel of light”, and his “ministers of righteousness”.
The Lord has NOTHING to do with speaking in any “babble” language. It’s ALL demonic.
Speaking in tongues was refering to speaking in foreign languages, not a “babble” language.
@WitnessoftheTruth I’ve seen people “speak” in tongues in church. I don’t know if they’re faking it or if it’s the real spirit of God in them, because there is no translator. But i have seen men of God prophesying to others in tongues. I’ve seen them reveal their inner thoughts and dreams…it’s real man. very real. You can’t ask for it though, God gives it when he wants too.
im a pentecostal, and i absolutely agree with this guy….. I think the gifts of tongs ARE around, but i also believe 95% of it is not even the actual gift of God himself, rather simply the illusion of what your mind wants you to think and say. Those of you who speak in tongs, admit that you just babble and you hope God is the one guiding your babble! when in reality you are misleading yourself. I really see no place for it in the church, now if your in the jungles of Africa or something..
11:24 I guess those in Acts 2 were not right, because they ALL spoke in toungues, and they also ALL spoke in tongues in Acts chapter 10. And, there was NO interpreter in Acts 10 or Acts 19. The reason why, is that there are 2 types of tongues in scripture, other tongues and unknown tongues. Paul was teaching about unknown tongues in Corinthians, which is a separate gift than that of the tongues that accompany baptism of the Holy Ghost. Perhaps we should “get away from” this guy’s teaching?
@Jes, Tongues is of satan. The Lord has been silent since the Bible was completed about 1,900 years ago. Those promoting tongues, belong to their father, satan.
@sky, Speaking in tongues is adding to the finished work of God’s Law Book, The Holy Bible. We read in Revelation 22:18, that anyone adding to God’s Law Book would be cursed by the plagues written herein. God is bound by His own Law’s. The Lord is NOT bringing new revelation into the world through tongues.
Any supernatural event involving speaking in tongues is from SATAN!! Man wants “evidence” of his salvation. He thinks if he speaks in tongues he is saved. Sorry, tongues is demonic!!

When that which is PERFECT has come there will be KNOWLEDGE will vanish away the need for Languages will cease?
We Still Need Knowledge Now so the Bible Teaches we ALSO still need the Languages? UNTIL?

1:cor 13:13
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
See there is no mention of Tongues will be remain :)

forgive me if u feel i was spewing hate but in that verse he was criticizing the pharisees because obviously God’s commands are more important than traditions and the culture and so forth. The bible is the only truth we have to lead us so i just think we should stop focusing on thing outside of the context of the word and cling to what God has spoken to us in the Holy Bible
help us weigh out that which is truth. It certainly is a much more narrow road than simply reading or hearing a bunch of interpretd laws & regulations & doing our best but miserably failing at following them. One is now challenged to distinguish the voice of God from every other voice in the world & be obedient to it. But where we often fail is actually taking out the time to know the Spirit of God. The only way to know the Spirit of God is to spend time in his presence becoming familiar w/him.
@NCDG83 well 1st of all whether one speaks in tongues or not isnt the determining factor in whether one is saved nor does it determine one’s eternal destination. 2nd God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotton Son that WHOSOEVER believes on HIM shall NOT perish, but they SHALL have everlasting life. It didn’t say whosoever believes a 1st Bible Baptist Believing Christian. & certainly not in whatever a Pastors interpretation of the day happens to be. We must yeild to the Spirit to
@DaFithGospel but your statement does not support your point. We reject the commandments of God & hold to our traditions. Which came first the chicken or the egg the comandments or the traditions. The commandment of Christ was this that you Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind & strength & Love your neighbor as yourself in doing so you fulfill all the law & the prophets. We still haven’t gotten that part down as evidenced by the hatre spewin that prevails in this very comment thread.
Well that’s why we now have the word of God to go by. So we don’t just make up stuff because we believe it. I mean even Jesus Christ used the wor of God to back up his teachings everything he spoke on was backed up by the writings of the prophets. He said in Mark 7:8-9 we reject the commandments of God that we may keep our traditions and that’s what’s going on in the pentecostal and charismatic movements.

Sorry for jumping the gun on you friend.., my mother raised me in Charismatic churches and it done my head in., this is not a sometimes its of the devil because the whole damn movement is of the devil and all my life from childhood I was condemned by the church for speaking out against the preachers and I would use scripture to show them wrong but these people are over run by insanity and hear not the word of God

Speaking in tongues was a way the spirit of God gave for men of different languages to communicate…, not speaking senseless babble and letting whatever shit roll off your tongue and claiming it be from God
Paul also warns that let no man among you speak in tongues unless there is an interpreter among you.., he also says let no more than 2 men speak in tongues at a time

WOW! That’s like saying we can believe whatever we want to believe and still go to heaven when we die as long we are spiritually sound n happy. That sounds like Oprah’s church and new agers to me where false teachings like “all roads lead to Rome” are being taught. Oh and btw they too practice unbliblical angelic speech in their churches. i do not know what happen on sunday but my tongue started to move very fast and weird and my jaw as well i felt very very weird i felt like i needed to talk but couldn’t some very trust worthy people told me i was trying to talk in tongues i just was saved about a week ago i was thanking god at the time some one share what they think happen
