wow… he’s true!

“the pulpit is weak”

@ fijoooo~ Do you expect to be “entertained” by a preacher? Then stay on the Osteen path, for it is wide & leads to destruction. I’ll stay here & be fed the TRUE milk of the Word, & “live my best life LATER.” Osteen isn’t called the “Cotton Candy Preacher” for nothing. He’s “tasty, but no substance.” Instead of trying to adapt the Bible to the felt needs of the culture, it should be the other way around. Osteen’s is a very selfish, man-centered doctrine, full of Word of Faith LIES.

he is real, one of the last

He’s boring I’m sorry…Joel osteen is much better

True, God doesn’t need you rmeasly 1K. But what does tithing have to do with this? Do you give out of the law of tithing or out of mercy? How can we in good conscience see so many poor, starving, hurting people & give only according to what we must give, & not what we could afford to give? We would rather soak up all the stuff of this world while ignoring the cries of starving children. Why are we so cruel? Why don’t we cry for them, go to them, rescue them? We are the blind Church of Laodicea!

Now you assume I don’t tithe and give money to the poor. Wow. Since I already give to the poor, and free slaves and children sold into prostitution (through several ministries), it doesn’t convict me in the least. I do it out of obedience. At the same time, I realize that God doesn’t need my money to work. He created the universe after all … does He really need my little $1000?

No, but God tells us to be a good stewart of His money. Does God want us to horde His money on our own personal desires? Or would it be the better way to be blessed knowing that you saved African children from starving to death, to live to see another day?
Where is your sense of compassion for the poor?
Jesus said, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” God doesn’t SPEND money, He works through obedient sons & daughters.
I hope this convicts you of your priorites.
Take a good look in the mirror.

Wasting God’s money?! Is your God so small that He needs mans’ money?

There’s everything wrong with having a Mercedes Benz.
A 19K car would work just as well so why spend 25K more?
That’s wasting God’s money.

Children are DYING FOR A BOWL OF RICE and you say it’s OK to hog 40K on yourself.
You are the Laodicean Church that made Jesus want to spew us out of His mouth!
The Church of the Pathetic Apathetic.
We care not for those suffering, starving to death, homeless, orphaned, diseased because if we looked twice we might feel guilty. Shame on us! Repent!

I praise the Lord Jesus Christ for the day I found brother Washer on Youtube. I have been a christian for more than 30 years and his is the strongest, purest, most convicting gospel preaching I have ever heard. May the hearing of his unadulterated truth do a mighty work in me. All for the honor and glory of our eternal, one true God. I also offer that request for all who listen with an open and receptive heart.

GREAT VIDEO

What the church today has been raised on is if you believe in Jesus you will be born again. In ALL early Baptist confessions you must be born again in order to believe in Jesus spiritually dead men may have idea who he thinks Jesus Christ is. Until he is born by Spirit his nature of being dead makes him unable to come to life who is Jesus. This is why he must be brought to life first and regenerated for a true conversion to take place where he is then able to believe in to Christ knowing him.

What Washer is saying is true a good tree does not bear bad fruit. (Mat 7:17) However we know from scripture that he who claims to be with out sin deceives himself. (1 John 1:8) A Christian does sin and struggles with it in there life. Here is evidence from scripture; Now if I do what I do not want to do it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. Rom 7:20 Christian life over all lifestyle is one of repenting or turning from sin and believing in Christ payment of it.

Luke, your example in itself perhaps to you is the bad fruit in Washer(‘s sermon), and it proves the point which Paul was making. But I think you just answered your own question. LOL…

I was wondering if anyone could bring light to this and correct me in my quote if I am wrong. Washer was giving an analogy of a good tree and how it “may have a couple of bad apples on it, but it bears thousands of good apples. It’s a good tree!”. Jesus said “a good tree CANNOT BEAR BAD FRUIT”. Any help would be appreciated. Grace and peace!

Col 1:21-23a And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled Heb 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

wut is a mercedes benz

Theres nothing wrong with having a Mercedes Benz. The problem is people using that and saying God will give you a Mercedez Benz in order to sale the gospel to people who wouldn’t want it anyways unless something comes with it. You should choose God because you need him not because of some reward you get when you decide to take his hand for your own benefit.

P. S. What is wrong with having a Mercedes Benz?

Men have hetherto generally used the word “God” to indicate the Universal, creative principal; but the word “God” does not convey the right meaning. Most people understand this word to mena something outside of themselves, while exactly the contrary is the fact. It is our very life. Withought it we would be dead. We would cease to exist. The minute the spirit leaves the body, we are as nothing. Therefore, spirit is really all there is of us. – Charles F. Haanel -

THE BIBLE TEACHES “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”

It doesnt matter what YOU believe. What matters is what the BIBLE teaches. Study some hermanutics, it will help.

I’m not a Washer fanboy, but the principle ‘continuing repenting and believing’ is all througout the new testament…..revelation ch 2,3 and john 15:16, Philippians 1:6, matthew 10:22, etc

?

How is your comment in opposition to what I have stated?
